About Me

jb-selfportrait

Hello! My name is Jason Bolton.

I am an Interactive and Graphic Designer and Front-End Developer residing in San Francisco. I like to make things better through design. I currently have about 2 years of experience in both web design and print collateral through various internships, freelance, and contract jobs.

A quick history about myself, I was born in Seoul, South Korea where my father was stationed in the Army on the 23 of November, 1984. From there, I spent most of my childhood years moving around between Nashville, Tennessee and Jacksonville, Arkansas before finally settling in Nashville in 1999. After I graduated from high school, I moved to Memphis in 2003 to attend Memphis College of Art where I majored in Graphic Design. I also became interested in Metalsmithing. I signed up for all of the Graphic Design and Metalsmithing classes that where available. I graduated in December of 2008.

I grew up in an artistic background. My Grandmother was a illustrator and a painter. She taught me how to draw portraits. My sister, Jina Bolton, also liked to draw a lot before switching her interest to Visual Interactive Design. Some of my design work is influenced by Architectural Design in which I appreciate. I also enjoy other mediums such as illustration, sculpture, and photography.

I am eclectic when it comes to music. I enjoy playing the acoustic guitar, watching football and hockey, eating sushi, and reading up on new technology and designs techniques.
